Are You a Called Person or a Driven Person?

John 3: 23-31

 

Driven people are for the most part:

 

1. Gratified only by accomplishments that revolve around themselves.

2. A driven person is usually caught in the uncontrolled pursuit of expansion.

3. A driven person has little regard for integrity.

4. A driven person often possesses limited or underdeveloped people skills.

5. A driven person often possesses a volcanic temper.

6. A driven person is usually abnormally busy.

 

The picture of a called person.

 

I.  Called people understand their destiny.  vs. 23-29

 

II. Called people understand stewardship.  vs. 30-31

    A.  The job of a steward is to properly manage something for the owner

          until the owner comes back and takes it.

    B.  Finding order in our lives, an inner peace and serenity, begins not with

          enlarging our material world, but our SPIRITUAL CENTER!

    C.  Recall the man who failed to view life through the lens of a Godly

          Steward.  (Luke 12: 15-21)

 

III. Called people possess an unwavering sense of purpose.  vs. 27-29

     A.  A called man or woman commits their whole life to magnifying Christ    

            in their life.
